Staffordshire Chambers’ export specialist shortlisted for prestigious national award – and we need your vote!.
Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce is encouraging businesses to support Export Documentation Officer Sylwia Malkowska after she was shortlisted for a prestigious British Chambers of Commerce Rising Star Award.
Sylwia has been named as a finalist for the British Chambers of Commerce Rising Star Award, which recognises individuals who have shown dedication, ambition and a commitment to supporting businesses across the Chamber network.
The winner of the award will be decided by a public vote, with businesses, members and supporters invited to back Sylwia by reading more about the shortlisted nominees and casting their vote.
Alison Tomlinson, Head of International Trade at Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, said: “Sylwia has embraced every opportunity that has come her way and has become a valued member of our team.
“Her commitment to learning, the support she gives to our exporting businesses and the positive attitude she brings every day make this recognition thoroughly deserved. We are all incredibly proud to see her shortlisted.”
After moving to the UK from Poland with her husband, Lucas, Sylwia began working in childcare while also taking on a cleaning role at Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce. When a vacancy became available on the Chamber’s front-of-house team, she successfully applied and quickly impressed colleagues with her professionalism, commitment and willingness to learn.
In October 2025, Sylwia successfully applied for a role in the Chamber’s International Trade team, where she has continued to build her knowledge and expertise in export documentation.
She now supports businesses across Staffordshire with the documentation needed to trade internationally while studying towards professional qualifications in export documentation and certification procedures.
Voting for the British Chambers of Commerce Rising Star Award is now open. Businesses, members and supporters can support Sylwia by reading more about the shortlisted nominees and casting their vote here.
